The menu covers France fairly well. Mussels to beef bourgone. Wine list has some reasonable French wines. Food prepared well. Service knowledgeable and efficient.
About once a month, we go to the Ken Cinema. Aside from the good movies shown there, there's an additional advantage - it's about 100 yards away from this excellent French restaurant. So, whenever we attend the Ken, we dine first at Bleu Boheme. It is reliably excellent. Service is friendly & efficient. Food great. Beer terrific. And they serve... More
This place was ok. I think it was way too hyped up for me. I came here on a Fri night with my bf. We opted to sit outside bc we had my dog. We came here for Restaurant Week. I honestly think I have had better French before. We got the Soupe a l'Oignon Gratinee which is like a... More
This is a very nice restaurant that really does its best to bring a little piece of Fance to San Diego. The service was good. The food was also good but nothing too special. I had the coquille St Jacques for an appetizer that had a rather sweet rose sauce. For the entree I had the mushroom ravioli which, guess... More
Going out to eat during Restaurant Week is almost like going to a restaurant on Valentine's Day or Mother's Day. Food's usually good, but the service can be rushed and spotty. Not at Bleu Boheme!! We made a reservation for 9:00 p.m. at this lovely French bistro where we dined several months ago. Unfortunately, I have recently broken my leg... More
I read all the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were so excitted to go and try out the Happy hour menu. When we finally got in, we were informed that the happy hour menu was different this week because it was Restaurant week. The bar is in a separate room from the restaurant. They had about 7 items on the... More
What can you say about this place other then..... It's great! Don't think you are going to walk out spending $20. It's spendy but very very good. Flavors of the food and wine selection to notch. Staff is on point!
Bleu Boheme is in the Kensington neighborhood. We enjoyed outdoor seating on a quiet Sunday night. The server was charming and efficient and the food was very good. The onion soup was rich in cheese and onions and the mussels in cream garlic sauce was superb. I just wish they served the crusty bread In traditional white instead of whole... More
My friend and I were searching for lunch on an extremely hot day, and she really wanted moules frites. We knew Bleu Boheme would have 'em...and did they ever! Made six different ways. Fantastic basil martini. The ambiance is great, a lovely place to relax and enjoy the incredible food, drinks and surroundings. We will definitely be back for more!... More
An LA Times writer says that we shouldn't order just plain old goat cheese. In fact, she says we should "say chèvre." That's pronounced "shev hruh." That's exactly what I did at Bleu Boheme, a cozy little French restaurant in the Kensington area of San Diego. The salad is called Salade de Chèvre Chaud and is a beautiful bowl of... More
