Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I spend 3 days for my daughter bday at Dream New York in Downtown. Let me tell you I had the best experience. Staff it's so polite, professional and helpful. Rooms are beautiful, spacious and VERY VERY CLEAN. Housekeeping went out of the way to...make sure we had everything and extra what we need it in the room. They had decorated the room for my daughter birthday and made her feel so special. The pool was really clean and DJ playing a great music in the background was perfect for the occasion. The restaurant by the pool had great food and the service was excellent. You can grab a cocktail in the roof top bar in the evening where you have an amazing view of the city that never sleeps. Thank you so much to the amazing staff of Dream hotel and can't wait to visit again. MATILDAMore

This review is for the dream hotel, which is conveniently located in Times Square. On the surface a nice place but the devils in the detail, small room, toilet seat won’t stay up ( I’m a man), WiFi hard to set up, they charge you...for amenities, ~$30 a day for a continental breakfast, no protein, regardless if you eat it and other useless things. The flusher on toilet broke, but maintenance dude was quick to fix. They do offer free membership to a nearby gym ( lot of dudes there no women, hint hint) Roof to bar available , drink prices outrageous. Elevator not so good.More

Had been staying at Dream Hotel and decided to visit after a day touristing about town. As I was carrying my camera I was told quite abruptly NO CAMERAS!! No explanation given. Another visit for Happy Hour but no happy hour and no explanation. Third...and final visit noted a number of customers taking photos with their phones but not stopped by staff. Spoke to hotel management about these issues and advised PHD terrace was a seperate business.More

First you wait in line outside and have your ID checked before you enter. Again you are checked to make sure your legal before going up the tiny elevator to the top two floors. The elevator stops on the top floor where all the young...gorgeous 20 something's are dancing to heart pounding music. The next floor up is more quiet with a beautiful view of the city with access to an outdoor roof patio section. Our server Miky Bostic was very sweet and attentive. Expect to spend over $100 for a party of four on one round of drinks. Dress up and have fun.More

I had a terrible experience during my two night stay. In the first room they gave me, the deadbolt lock didn't work. Rather than simply move me to another room, they sent maintenance to the room. He tried to convince me the hotel was very...safe and I didn't need the lock. I asked for another room. In the second room the toilet kept running. They kept fixing it but still it was annoying. My husband sent me flowers and when I called the front desk they asked me which ones were mine. (The ones with my name on them, perhaps?). The card my husband included wasn't with the flowers and the person who brought them up spilled water all over the carpet. I went to the lobby bar for a drink. The bartender gave me a very short pour though the pretty blonde next to me got a full goblet of wine. Ok, I'm middle aged and married so that could happen at any bar but it is consistent with the overall poor service of The Dream hotel so keep that in mind. No one cleared my room service dishes when I came back from my meetings the second night. Also on the second night all the bars were closed for private events so I never saw the famous roof bar. Rooms are typical, small boutique style, modern but they have all the basics. Towels are shabby and lighting is poor. But my biggest complaint is the service. The overall attitude is disdain. (Except for the nice elevator guy.) Overall I'd say this isn't a good hotel if you are in town on business and I definitely won't be back.More

Yeah, yeah, I know, I married and the hottest girl in the place is sitting right next to me. That is definitely true. But, for my brother, D, and those other single guys out there, GET YOUR BUTTS DOWN HERE CUZ THIS PLACE IS GOING...OFF! Oh, memo to the guy who says the place was dead: This is not West Coast last call at 10pm. It's New York City, Bro, the people don't even leave their homes until 11, and by that time you were in full REM back at you Malibu beach house. Trendy = yes. Over priced = yes. Too loud = maybe. Fun and full of eye candy = definitely!More
