We felt very lucky to be able to book a table here (booking only available at the beginning of each month) and were eagerly anticipating the experience. Although the food is very good the whole experience was not, for us at least, excellent. The restaurant is quite large and very busy - tables seem to turn over several times each... more

I ate here as a special dinner on one of our nights in nyc. People will pick this restaurant because of it's reputation and 3 michelin stars. Would people go back ? Not me. The service from two of the staff - cloakroom attendant and Head waiter was snobby with no warmth. Two others were good - the junior waiter... more

I have wanted to dine at this restaurant for a long, long time. We were not disappointed, We each had the 4 course meal for $110/pp. The menu offers several seafood items and is divided into 3 sections: Almost Raw, Barely Touche and Lightly Cooked. You can choose 2 items from the first two sections and one for your entree,... more

Get ready to sit back for a few hours while many delightful dishes are placed in front of you. Tasting menu is the way to go, the tuna with foie gras and incredibly tender charred octopus with squid ink and miso vinaigrette were a marvelous start. The kobe beef is a must. Excellent wine, service and dessert, the caramel parfait... more

Le Bernardin is a place that you have to go at least once in your life! The whole meal was delicious. We were graciously assisted with our wine selection and it went perfectly with the entire meal. Don't plan to visit if you're on a limited budget...this is not the place for budget seekers!!! more

While eating at Per Se was a once in a lifetime experience, Le Bernardin is my favorite restaurant in NYC. If I go at lunch, I can afford it. The seafood is so fresh and is prepared with such skill. The service is impeccable. more

Beleive the hype. The food it utterly fantastic! If they have the zucchini floweret stuffed with peekytoe crab, then get it. It is one of the most amazing dishes I ever tasted…..it’s just too bad my wife stole most of it from my plate! Our Captain, Julio, was always there when we need him, at times seemingly to materialize out... more

For me, this wasn't a meal, but rather and 'experience'. One as richly rewarding and memorable as a performance, a museum, or a world class sporting event. And because this is of that rarified air of 'upper level' dining, it was all the more amazing, especially when compared to routine adventures in 'eating-out in America'. --amuse was a sea scallop... more

I was very skeptical of the "reinventing fish" claim, but am happy to report that it's true. I've been eating fish my entire life and have never had it so delicately prepared and with such light and flavorful sauces. Top-notch service. Eric Ripert and his staff are a class act all the way. more
