Not cheap at all for the quality of the food they give you here. Staff is rude and seemed annoyed that we didn't want a bottle of wine as requested more bread. I wouldn't return
Five for dinner pre-theater. Good service. Timely for pre-theater even thought he restaurant was full. Relatively small and quiet. Very good food. Caesar salad. One had eggplant rollatini... large portion. very good. One had Branzino with lemon sauce... the other Branzino in special preparation with tomato. Both excellent. Two had calves liver and said it was among the best liver... More
We went to this restaurant on our last night in NY because it was recommended to us by a family friend. At 7 pm on a Monday we were able to walk right in because it was less than half full. The waiter, an old Italian fellow came up and asked what we wanted to drink before we even sat... More
Amazingly delicious food. Excellent and very attentive service. Comfortable and friendly environment in a GREAT location.
One reviewer said that this was "old school" Italian and they were spot on. Service was very attentive and the food was delicious. Per their recommendations we enjoyed a local white fish prepared in an Italian style with olives, capers and anchovies. It was great! We drank... More
Have been here twice now and both times enjoyed brilliant food and atmosphere. Very relaxed place with attentive servers. I believe the chef is also the owner and obviously takes pride in what comes out of his kitchen. Best Lasagna ever!
OK, I can't really say anything bad, but there is nothing I would rave about either. It is just honest good Italian food. The prices are reasonable (for NYC atleast). The waiters are attentive and knowledgable about the menu. They offer to make special requests. I enjoyed my Lasagna.
I want to go to this restaurant. It is close by and you can tell the food starts out well. But somebody in that kitchen likes salt way too much. The first bite was absolutely briny. I couldn't get enough water. When adding olives and capers a lot of salt gets into the food anyway. So, if they would just... More
The food was splendid without being pretentious. Pleasing flavors, but not overwhelming. Excellent service and reasonably priced wine. Everything I want in a restaurant.
