I've had 3 meals in the dining room of Grand Sichuan, and ordered delivery once. Fine as the food has been (I do like the well-known soup dumplings), the service has been the RUDEST I've had anywhere. Servers expect you to order immediately, don't appreciate add-ons, and act as though there is a minimum order. Our delivery person complained about... more

Ok! if you like Chinese, you will love food here, first I thought "what kind of place is this?" but "amazing food" after I ate!!!! so cheap and wow!!! love this place more
two words: soup dumplings. oh yeah, but the service is awful. always. more
If you like things spicy (as in hot and tasty), this is the place to go. Just make sure you have some immodium at home because this will burn for hours. more
For some odd reason, NYC does not good Chinese food. This restaurant is about as good as it gets. It's not too bad since I love Sichuan food. I wouldn't say the service is bad, maybe it's because I speak Mandarin and I kinda expect the service to be at THAT level. Overall, a bit crowded, but good food, good... more
I lived near Grand Szichuan for years, and ate there regularly. I think the food is excellent. First, though, the warnings. The place gets packed in the evening, often with lines out onto the sidewalk.
