For us growing up in NY we have to go here when we return on our visits. Lombardi's is amongst the best NYC pizza, Get there early or expect to wait. Pizza is consistently great and thin crispy crust, just plain excellent! Service is always friendly and excellent each time we visit, Very consistent. more

We visited Lombardi's on a Monday evening in December around 5pm. No wait and comfortable warm seating. The waiter was awesome and the best. The pizza was the best Coal fired pizza we have ever tasted. Will certainly return next time we visit NYC. I'd love to try more items off the menu. more

We ordered pizza and the cheese was excellent. The restaurant was full for a late lunch but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Staff very friendly, food very reasonably priced. We did not feel rushed even on a busy Thanksgiving weekend. A nice break. more

What a fantastic pizza. What stuck in my mind the most was the taste of the coal oven clinging slightly to the crust, and the fantastic, amazing sauce. The sauce combined with the smokey crust really make this pizza pie shine. Be sure to eat it with a beer, and don't fill up too much on that amazing salad with... more

I thought the pizza was decent, but not great. I had a sausage and mushroom pie. The sauce was very plain, the sausage was on the sparse side and not anything special. The cheese and crust were quite good. After reading the rave reviews, I was expecting a lot better pizza. Service was friendly, but we had to ask for... more

October 2009. Located in the Village at the corner of Spring and Mott. Lombardi's certainly better than all of Ray's Pizza in Manhattan. Great crust and good toppings. There is great and friendly service at Lombardi and plenty of tradition and history. But, not up to par with the other great NY area Pizzeria's like Brooklyn's L & B Spumoni's... more

Went here on our recent trip to New York just because we HAD to go to the first pizza place ever. It was a rainy Saturday evening about 6:30 p.m., they told us it was about a 20 minute wait, but it turned out to be more like an hour wait...out in the cold rain because the bar was too... more
