Needed to find a place to have a yummy beer and I did! This place rocks it’s my kind of joint where I could come everyday. Staged has been friendly and helpful. So glad I stopped to have a beer.

Cool spot with a good sized beer list to choose from. IT was pretty crowded the Friday we went but we did not have a problem finding a seat.
1/28/23 Easily the worst bar I have ever been too and Staff is ironically toxic. In my entire life, I have NEVER been thrown out of a bar. I'm not rude and like supporting local establishments. I also respected their desire to remove us and...put up zero resistance even though the only crime we committed was having my wife use the men's restroom with me vs. waiting in a line of 10 women. I was being a good husband addressing her female biology issues. Horrible people and sexist. A lot of bars are moving towards unisex restrooms which help alleviate issues like we had. Again, we were not drunk, wasn't belligerent, and were literally doing nothing that merited the way they treated us. We will never be back and I encourage you to walk past this establishment when exploring options. There are MANY more kind, respectful, and interesting establishments to explore in this area! 6/21/23 I want to thank this bar for their reply as they are clearly too stupid to even formulate a good lie. First, she did have female issues and for someone who was fading it's quite amazing she could sit on a stool without falling. Maybe gravity in this bar functions different than the rest of our universe. It is true that the female restroom was across from the men's but as I explained she had female issues. I'm not surprised that the management would be quick to dismiss that given their sexist predilections. We DON'T do drugs and were not talking about doing Coke in the restroom. In fact, it was the dudes in line to get in talking about coke loudly. One of which was apparently an employee. It’s actually hilarious that while in a stall, in a restroom with a closed door, with loud patrons, and a bar that is easily 20 feet away that they could hear us loudly talking about coke lmfao! Again, I'm not surprised that "management" here can't even formulate a good lie without looking stupid. For fun sake, let’s say we were talking about coke. Who cares? It could have been a joke, something we were reading on the graphited walls, etc. Maybe do some research first before being both judge and jury? Speaking of locked doors, had they read my original review correctly, the issue wasn't the door to the restroom. It was the stall with a broken lock. Isn't it funny how they make assumptions about my ability to put up a post at 4:00am and yet ignore the fact that I was capable of putting up a relatively cognitive post at that time? I was pissed at their physical abuse and strange behavior. After getting back to our room we began to read other reviews on tripadvisor.com and realized that the workers here have a history of abusing patrons, especially older patrons. In terms of the cool skeleton we took photos with, we did not knock it down. That is just a bold lie. Funny how they never posted photos showing so. Yes, they did manhandle us and never explained why. It is also true that we have visited other bars as well but were by no means even slightly inebriated at only 9:45pm. Kind of funny how they can admit my kind ways and yet act like they know the side effects of an actual person on Coke. I only know of one person who has ever done coke and can tell you that it makes them angry and wild. Both attributes in their only reply that they recounted the opposite representation of us as we were being manhandled out of the bar. Let me also add that they never identified themselves as they were yelling into the restroom. I had no idea of who we were dealing with other than it sounding like violent guys acting like they were on coke. Their largely fabricated lie reply simply provides additional evidence to the toxicity they represent. Karma finds a way and one day it will pay its respects to them sevenfold! Please feel free to read other reviews like we did. There is a clear pattern of abuse, age discrimination, and sexism.More
While visiting Dayton for the weekend we stumbled on to the Toxic Brew Co. It was Indian Summer so it was warm enough to it sit outside and people watch. Only down side is I’m not a beer drinker and the only alternative is a...very limited liquor options. N wine. My friend said the beer was great (good enough he bought a tee shirt) and the whisky I was was nice as well.More
One of the worst breweries in Dayton. The atmosphere is great for 20 somethings, but not adults. The beer is mediocre, at best. Unruly bartenders and manager will throw you out, for looking cross-eyed. Do yourself a favor and don't bother to come in here.
Went to Toxic last night w a group of 8 50something couples. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and we were doing a downtown brewery/pub crawl. We all ordered beers and were enjoying our time . My friend opened the popcorn machine door and a guy...came over and said ‘Hey don’t touch that’ . My friend reached out saying I just opened the door and the guy said ‘I told you not to touch that’ and grabbed my friend ripping his shirt collar, tearing off buttons. We since found out he was Tyler Gilcher , part owner/bar mgr for Toxic . He then said ‘you’re outta here ‘ my friend was by then on the floor and several other Toxic employees had jumped in pushing him towards the door. It was a totally unprovoked attack. We were all shocked again this was because of a popcorn machine that is in the center of the bar for customers to help themselves. In a time of healing for Dayton & the Oregon District this aggressive behavior being allowed is irresponsible. Oh & once outside they called us ‘entitled mf’ers’. ??!? Why??!? We were 8 couples age 50somethings just out for some local beers. I’ve been going to Oregon District for30+ years and never had trouble. If you go & don’t fit the bearded hipster mold just know you may be attacked for some arbitrary reason. Better yet just don’t go! PS. beer is average at best.More
We went for an after-dinner drink. They do offer some snack-type foods. It was a recent Friday night and we hit up this brewery after a seeing a recommendation on a blog. It was a great atmosphere - people of all ages. There were games...- board games, giant Jenga, connect four, and a shuffleboard table. I would definitely recommend it!More
This is the 1st brewery my husband and I went to when visiting Dayton in 2016. It’s not 2019 and this place keeps getting better and better !!! Love supporting my local breweries ❤️🍻
Ecclectic brew pub in downtown Dayton. Staff are awesome and you can tell they love their job. Building is awesome and unique adding to the experience. Well attended even on a Monday evening with a respectable crew. Brews were all delicious with a good selection...and service attentive and pleasant. We stopped in before supper and returned for a nightcap after our meal. Great spot worth a stop.More
We are on the Dayton Beer Trail and have been to ten establishments so far. On 08 Sept we stopped in to Toxic Brew in the Oregon District. Atmosphere is not our style, but the beer is some of the best in Dayton. The Night...Ender Imperial Stout is by far the best that I've had in Dayton. I could not help but take a growler home with me. The service was top notch and the bartenders were very friendly. As they were pouring my growler, they gave me samples of the other two stouts (Black Tonic is a good every-day stout and the Hatless Bastard Irish Stout is very good with a lot of grain flavor). I also highly recommend trying the Abby XXXX Belgian Quad, another fantastic full-flavored beer. If I were to open a brewery I would want my stout and quad to be exactly like these beers. We will definitely be back for the beer! One tip: if you take home a growler of Night Ender, put a little bourbon/whiskey (I used Maker's Mark) in the glass before pouring the beer. What a great drink!More
We had found a Groupon for a beer tasting flight and since we had not been to Toxic, we figured we would give it a try. The visit was very enjoyable! The Groupon was a great value with a free growler (sadly empty), two pint...glasses, and two three-beer flights for tasting. It was a great way to get an overview of their beers. Very good selection with some excellent beers. The only drawback for us...and it could just be us, was that the clientele is on the younger side and mostly very local. We felt slightly out of place (we're late 50s), but it wasn't so bad we did not enjoy our experience. Definitely give it a try yourself!More
This is a fun place to drink local brews - fun names, good flavors, and the inside is decorated cool. Worth the try...
We went here for beer after dinner and it was a nice place. The beer selection was great and the bartender let me try some before deciding due to being my first time there. The atmosphere was fun, open and inviting!
The inside of the brewery is nice and artsy. Beers are also pretty good and they have free popcorn and board games you can play while there. If you go on Wednesdays they also have whiskey Wednesday and I believe drinks are $2 off. Only...issue I have with this place is that the staff seems to only want to talk to each other/regulars and almost appear annoyed at anyone else trying to get a drink.More
Small and casual brewery tasting room in Dayton's nightlife district. Very good beers, including guest beers from other area breweries and very friendly staff.
