Went to Pelican Pete's a few times while on holiday, it was great, warm atmosphere, fab music, great food, I think the last reviewer may have confused American type french fries with British chips, because the fish & chips were fantastic. I don't usually recommend places as everyones tastes are different but I would highly recommend a visit here! more

It was just terrible and the french fries were the worst EVER. Sat for 5 mins before the bartender/ waitress even addressed us. more

Pelican Pete's has the best fish or chicken and chips and the pints are always cold. Great live music and the owners know you by name. Get there early if you want a spot to sit! more

Stopped in for dinner but just ended up getting nachos and a beer because they were so busy and obviously in trouble. Although it was early Friday night they were already out of a quite a few items-one which obviously must have been cheese for the nachos and no salsa. The food is delicious---my favorite is the Fish and Chips. You will not go away hungry. Believe me!! The staff treat you like one of the family. It is a place you can "come as you are" and feel right at home with all the locals. It is a must when visiting the Anna Maria Island area. more
