Great selection of beers for the connoisseurs although the Japanese one they had tasted less then Bud. (Better then tasting like Bud) I ordered a burger and it was cooked to order and tasted good. The fries where OK but nothing to write home about. more

I love Monk's but it's one of those restaurants we have to hit on a Monday or Tuesday night because otherwise there's routinely an hour wait. Beer list is as comprehensive as it gets, and unlike the average pub the food is also quite good. Steak frites is the standard. more

Every trip to Philly is a trip to Monk's. Beer lover's paradise, heavy on Belgians. Beer-inspired cuisine is excellent also. Recommend the Grand Cru and some mussels! more

I rate this Brew Pub average. They have phenomenal home brews in this unassuming little Bar in Center City Philadelphia. If you want to try a crazy beer try the Flemish Sour, it is a great beer for the exotic beer lover. We both said when we opened the container of $4.50 pomme frites. The fries were in a large container, but barely coated the bottom. They definitely tasted like store-bought shoestring fries and were old, cold and stale, honestly. It was seriously a huge rip-off and I can't see how anyone wouldn't be disappointed.
