Attractive restaurant without a Tapa to be found. Tapas are from Spain, this is some fusion of South American, Pacific, Mediterranean cuisine. Maybe it was an off day then for lunch but the food was was without thought and rather boring and unremarkable. Ordered the selection of cheeses - dried out, rationed and truly inferior. What? Philly doesn't have a... more

The tasting menu seemed to go on and on, in a good way. A very good way. Began with extremely subtle, delicate sardines. An excellent green salad with chopped asparagus, fava beans, string beans and avocado, with just the right amount of crunch. A cheese plate that was unusually good--especially the manchego with truffle-oil infused lavender honey that my wife... more

Great restaurant in the Old City. Very crowded even in the middle of the week, we thought straight away it meant the food must be good. They serve the best sangria, and the food was sonice and kept coming all night. It is served as the chef cooks it, with allowed us to try a bit of everything at a... more

We made a reservation a week advance for my birthday. We had been here once before and had a great time. This time around, we waited at the bar for our table since we were a bit early. They FORGOT ABOUT US! When we reminded them we were waiting, they seated us at a horrible row of tables for two.... more

Ate here with three other people. The wait staff was patient and helpful in advising us on menu choices. Food tasted very good. I ate at Alma de Cuba the night before and found the atmosphere and the food quality and presentation superior to Amada, although not by a large margin. Also, I found the portion sizes at Amada smaller... more

Amada is the best restaurant in Philadelphia, the food is amazing, the service is friendly and efficient. Get the crab stuffed piquillo peppers, wow. The octopus is the better than Babbo in NY. Drinks are interesting and fun. Sangria is always a good option as they have multiple selections of it. more

My husband and I went here for lunch on a recent trip, I was looking forward to it because I love tapas, but it was a big let down for me. We walked past one night, and it was really jumping so it may be better in the evening, but lunch was very quiet, and it had a very stuffy/pretentious... more

We celebrated a special occasion at Amada in October 2009. They have nice variety of tapas on the menu, along with a great selection of cocktails, wines and beers. I especially enjoyed the tuna-stuffed peppers, flatbreads, and the clams with chorizo. If you are dining with a group, it is fun for everyone to order a few plates and then... more

I went during Center City Restaurant week. The food was amazing. Every dish was good and I tried ten different dishes. Special compliments for the shrimp and the sauteed mushrooms. Beer list is good too. more
