I'm not really sure what all the hype is about. We had the lamb sirloin sandwich and the beef stew... both were pretty average. On top of that, the place doesn't have a very nice atmosphere. This is one of my favorite places in all of greater Boston, let alone Brookline. The food is so good and so original. This is a real gem of the place. And go for Trivia Night on Wednesdays! more

We visited Matt Murphy's for lunch, so we didn't experience the nightlife here, but the food was great. We both had sandwiches that were unique and tasty, and the service was awesome.
