Tom's Diner represents everything good about Brooklyn and all that's right with the world... fresh coffee, oranges, cookies and sometimes even sausage is circulated by the waiters while you're waiting on line (you haven't even sat down to order yet!). Tom's is as advertised. It's great diner food with a focus on breakfast. Unfortunately, breakfast really isn't my thing. The service is excellent, but the room itself is cramped, and shows its age. It's nice and quaint the first time, but afterwards it's annoying and claustrophobia-inducing. more

Fantastic pancakes!!!! Look for a long line during Saturday brunch. Closed on Sundays. Gus is the greatest!!!! more

If you're in or around the neighborhood, you should stop by and check it out. It's always packed on weekends but they make the wait worth your while by offering you cookies, orange slices, and coffee before you've been seated. more

This is THE diner. Perfect winter morning place. I don't know that it's really worth a trip though. I loved it when I lived a just few blocks away. more
