This is a poor imitation of the original in Greenville Miss. Original is naturally funky and soulful with a limited menu - but all done well. This location has a 'fake' funky interior, an overly ambitious menu that is poorly executed. The only redeeming dish is the tamales, as mentioned in a previous review. I had heard good things about Doe's Eat Place in Little Rock, so was happy to see that they opened a Doe's on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. Their tamale dish exceeded my expectations--3 tamales smothered in chili and cheese, and served with onions, pico, olives, tomatoes, peppers, etc for adding as you wish.
