This overpriced, underwhelming restaurant promises a lot and delivers very little. For such an ostenisbily "high end" restaurant-- and one with exorbitant prices--the quality of the ingredients is seriously lacking. The bready crab cake had canned crab, for example. And the chocolate that came with the bill -- an attempt at some sort of finesse-- was supermarket Hershey's! Literally, Hershey's!... more

.....we had the "prixe fixe" menu and the portions were a little small. Otherwise, the food was great. more

The food was fantastic and the service was great. My only complaint was that the night we were there, they had almost as many "specials" as they did on the regular menu. (at least 6 specials) As the waitress listed off the nightly specials, she never mentioned how much they were.....we had to ask. But, when it was time for... more

Chef Paul's was a real treat. No one in my party (there were 8 of us) were disappointed with any of our food. The service was excellent and the food was perfect. Yes, it was VERY expensive, but it was some of the best food I have ever eaten. My only suggestion would be is to ask what the price... more

We had dinner Friday night at Chef Pauls. The food and ambience were great. We had wonderful service and would go back again in a minute. The Owner was there and was delightful. He spent alot of time telling us about the dishes. Our table was ready right on time and the food was delivered in a timely manner. We... more

Recently visited Hot Springs for the first time and had a very nice dinner at Chef Pauls. The lamb chops were very good. Others in my party had the fish special for the day and steaks. All very good, as were soups and salads. Probably expensive for Hot Springs and in a hard to find location at the back of... more

The atmosphere was as nice as you would expect to find at a restaurant of this type. However, I ordered the Sirloin Strip special, which tasted good, but was very tough and full of sinew. Certainly not what one would expect when paying $45.00 for a steak! I was not given a choice of potato or vegetable. The meal came... more

After living in Arkansas one year, we decided to finally visit Hot Springs. To make a very long story short, we were NOT impressed. The only saving grace to the weekend was our dinner at Chef Paul's. My husband almost didn't go in when he saw where the restaurant was located ... in a run-down strip center. But once we... more

My husband and I dined at Chef Paul's on a Thursday night to celebrate my birthday. On Thursday night they have a fixed price meal and for $24.95 you get an appetizer, an entre, and a dessert. For $10 more you get half a glass of wine with each of the three courses. I had the garlic shrimp on toast,... more
