No ocean view but the food was excellent. I got the lamb chops and my husband got the hawaiian red snapper. We got clams for appetizer and I do recommend it. more

We decided to try the Hualalai Grille based on guide book and friend's recommendations. We also wanted one "fancy" dinner while in Hawaii to celebrate my birthday. We reviewed the menu online before getting to the island and decided to try the tasting menu, that was, assuming we could get a reservation. We tried calling three times only to be... more

Since two of our favorite restaurants (Edelweiss and Roussel’s) have closed since our last visit and our old favorite – CanoeHouse—seemed to be garnering a lot of disappointed reviews, I began searching for new restaurants for our latest visit. After reading reviews, Hualalai Grille sounded like something worth investigating. Since we were headed up to North Kohala from the airport... more

After a few nights at Pahuia, we decided to try something different and get dinner at the Hualalai Grille. The food is inventive and the service good. I would definetly recommend coming here when at the Four Seasons Hualalai. more

The entree prices are fair and consistent with that of the other resort restaurants. Beware of the booze costs. A house merlot costs $23! That is excessive to me. The view is awful, basically some foliage and no ambience whatsoever. If you aren't staying there, getting a reservation when you want is impossible. Ask for 7:00 and they will offer... more

We enjoyed a Very relaxing evening ,dining outside on the deck at the Hualalai Grill. We stepped out of our comfort zone and sampled an eight course dinner.plus two appetizers. Some of the selections that the chef prepared came off the menu, some did not. We were amazed at the combinations. Our favorite was the fresh Ahi on watermelon. more

Fantastic food and excellent wine paring; however, they lose a star for the roach problem. Avoid the outdoor patios after dark. Trust me. more

I took my husband and 2 children (5 yrs and 8 yrs old) to the Hualalai Grille for dinner. We were celebrating my husband's 39th birthday. We had a table overlooking the golf course and it was quite spectacular. My husband really appreciated the view since he is an avid golfer. From start to finish, service was wonderful. It was... more

We just returned from staying one month on the Big Island on the south Kohala Coast. Alan Wong's Hualalai Grille is by far the best of the best. We have eaten twice in his restaurant in Honolulu and it's now something we don't want to miss. The Hualalai Grille lives up to our expectations. From appetizer to dessert, everything was... more
