It may not be the best looking place on the block, but the food is really, really good! If you have a craving for Mexican - check it out!
A fun little restaurant where we had good draft beer and excellent fish tacos (unexpected in the land of glaciers fjords!) I highly recommend it for a casual sit-down dinner or takeout.
Just back from a fjord cruise and looking for a quick and simple meal we spotted the Railway Cantina near the south car park. Burritos, tacos, bear and cider on tap and all at very reasonable prices. Eat in on Plastic chairs and plates but great tasting food with a view across the road to the harbour -
I am a local and I love the price and the service!! They take less than 10 minutes to get my call in order ready!!! Great place!! Lydia
Stopped there for dinner. Tried the hallibut burritos and Salmon quesadillas: both were excellent. Tasted like real good homemade food!!
Loved the place! Its a small mexican cantina with a great staff! Its pseudo self service, you have to order and pay at the counter and take a seat, and you are served at the table. We had the Greek quesadilla and the tofu and veggie burrito.. they both come with salsa and chips and you have a choice of... More
We ate at the Cantina two nights ago. The place was pretty busy and had an interesting mix of locals and tourists. I had the San Francisco (crab) quesadilla and my husband had the Roasted Chx (chicken) burrito. On the plus side, the green chili salsa and the chipotle taco sauce were outstanding - I would buy these if they... More
This is a cantina setting. Order at the counter and take your food to your seat. I suggest sitting at the counter to watch the world of Seward go by. The fresh fish burritos are large and tasty. I would say the highlight of the meal was probably the house-made salsas and sauce. They were delicious. Don't be afraid to... More
We were really looking forward to the Cantina meal after several great reviews on TripAdvisor, but we were disappointed. The atmosphere was not great, but I suppose you can't hope for much in a small cantina. Beer was served in plastic cups, which really doesn't help good tap beer taste good! The nachos were no better than 7-11 - with... More
Is this a joke. Wow. I 'am going to post this for everyone to comment about. We are a hole in the wall and proud of it. This is obvious usually to everyone but some want-to-beer snob. More
