There are not many great restaurant options in Seward and Apollo was just average. We had pasta with marinara and bruschetta....both were just okay.
My husband & I ate dinner at the Apollo after a local recommended it. The food quality was uneven and overpriced for what it was. He had fish ( halibut) and chips - average quality, but the price was $24.95! My lamb chops were cooked well, tasty, served with mashed potatoes and a veggies that were unremarkable. Lettuce in the... More
This place surprised me. Food was really good, service is just OK. Right on main street. Went back several times. One of the better restaurants in Seward. Seward is pricey.
We ate here on a Friday night, it didn't take us long at all to get a seat and a great waiter. He was very nice and helpful. We had three children with us, we only ordered two meals because we heard their portions were huge. Sure enough, they were. The meals tasted good. I am only giving three stars... More
We arrived in Seward to torrential rains which left us soaked and tired. While drying our clothes at the local laundromat, we went searching for food. It was getting late, we were tired from traveling, and stumbled upon Apollo's. Decided to get a pizza to go and asked if we could sit and have a beer while we waited. They... More
We enjoyed the food and service very much. I had a seafood pasta special in a creamy red sauce and my husband had a fantastic steak. The portions were huge!!
Good food. Huge portions! Lots of veggie options. We had a small Greek salad which was huge, but tasty. For the entrées, we had the Fettucini Alfredo and a veggie pizza which was too much for two people. Would suggest sharing an entree. But the food was lovely, and the staff was really nice.
We always go to Apollo's when we visit Seward, last count 6 times. We're always impressed with the food, especially the house made smoked salmon. Other entrees were more sophisticated than we had expected in rural Alaska. The fish and chips is made from local halibut and terrific. The Mediterranean style fish that my daughter ordered was authentic; she has... More
If you're just in Seward for a glacier-wildlife cruise, it is definitely worth going the mile or so into "downtown" to try the Apollo. I took a chance on the smoked salmon pasta (with an Alfredo sauce, olive oil, garlic and Pinot Grigio and it was excellent. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful.
I always stop at Apollo's when in Seward Alaska. The place is fun and lively, everyone has a great time at Apollo's. The wait staff is fun and knowledgeable about all the menu items and will help pair the right wine/beer with dinner. THE BEST PIZZA IN ALASKA
