The food we had here was very tasty, and there are several vegetarian options on the menu. The prices are high, but perhaps normal for a touristy town in Alaska. We were there on a Friday night and (being over 30) we thought the live music was a bit loud... :-) more
Lets start with the cooks - with an open kitchen the cooks should really remember that they can be seen. Although I was lucky and did not have hair in my meal the cook on the right needed a hair net or at least put his hair up inside a cap. The cook on the left ran his hand across... more
I think Yoly's Bistro is an OK restaraunt over all. They have nice furniture, live music, and beautiful art decorations. The only problem is that the food was a little over priced, and some of it wasn't good. My favorite was the soup of the day. I also liked the Hot pot and Pad Tai. The only problem is that... more
Seward is an unassuming town heavily reliant on tourists. Most restaurants are basic, a few are nice. Yoly's was outstanding. I was at Yoly's early June '07. The menu was totally unexpected with complex, interesting dishes. Not your normal tourist fare. Never expected to find a chef in Seward but we did. If you want fish and chips or a... more
Picked the place from tripadvisor reviews. Hardly a bistro: it must seat 200+. Nice decor, great server, fast service. This was, of course, the off-season, and there were only ten people in the place. Good selection of white wines, priced from $17 to $30 a bottle. Adequate selection of reds. It is, after all, a seafood specialty house. I had... more
We were down in Seward for the day hungry as heck looking for a good place to eat. We stopped into Yoly's Bistro. The first thing we noticed was that it was REALLY, REALLY cold inside. We thought it was a fluke, but the menu looked appetizing and the waitstaff seemed friendly, so we decided to stay. I ordered the... more
My husband and I dined here at the recommendation of the B&B where we were staying. It was so good, we decided to go there the next evening, unfortunately they aren't opened on Mondays, but we would have have eaten here every night. Priced low for the quality and quantity, great casual atmosphere, doesn't get better than Yoly's if you... more
Unfortunately, we walked into this place at 4:00 pm and after waiting to be seated (as their sign requested) for about 10 minutes, a waiter came up to us and said "we're in between lunch and supper so we can't serve you now, come back in a half hour or so." We didn't know what to think, there were people... more
We ate lunch here on the last day of our week-long stay in Seward, and we were really sorry we hadn't discovered it sooner. Yoly's is great. We loved the food (we got the crab melt sandwiches and mocha/whip cream cake for dessert) and loved the warm, lively atmosphere. Fun art on the walls was a welcome break from the... more
