After seeing reviews on Trip Advisor I went looking. I was at first wary as the building is very small and unimpressive from the outside. This is the closest falafel to what you get in Israel that I have found in America. How lucky we are to have it in Anchorage Alaska! And what a lovely family who runs it. To be honest, I haven't eaten enough falafel in my lifetime to be able to tell if a particular serving is 100% authentic. But I know good food, and The Falafel King has it. Everything tastes wonderfully fresh and the owner/operator family consistently offers a smile with their prompt service. True, seating is a bit scarce, but food this good... more

Falafel King has a limited menu, but when you are in the mood for falafel or schwarma, that's all you really need. Delicious, fresh and authentic food, run by a delightful Israeli couple. more
