Our first Afghan experience was a true adventure- delectable marinated meat dishes with Okra and other vegetable flavors. We watched the long bread being tossed in and out of the fiery oven and couldn't wait to rip it apart and dip into the wonderful condiments. I'd definitely return. more

Great food! Many vegetarian options that were extremely delicious. The flatbread and dips were great, and it was fun to see them being cooked in the oven and pulled out. We left smelling like the fire, but it was worth it. more

After a long time, I went back to Helmand and was again amazed at the food. The use of pumpkin and cardoman makes this place unique in my eye more

Very bad service. We waited half hour before getting our table (okay not the fault of the restaurant but then...), demanded we order straight away because the kitchen was closing, removed our plates before we had finished our starters, and served our mains even though we asked them to wait a bit. The food was okay but not substantially good... more
