Fabulous authentic food, super friendly service (thank you, Mario), casual setting, reasonable prices, fun wine list. What's not to love?
There is a certain charm to this little restaurant.. and the advantage of being within walking distance of the residential part of Cambridge. The management/owners are very kind and friendly and offer the sort of hospitality that makes up for what turned out to be an average meal. But the cosiness of this space and warmth of their welcome made... More
We just LOVED this restaurant. It's small (15 tables or less), intimate, and very reasonably priced (30-40 dollars per person excluding wine). Food was great. I went out with group of friends; some had a Mediterranean fish, others had grilled food. Very personal service (chef came out to chat with us). You could just tell that the staff wanted to... More
After a recent visit to Trattoria Pulcinella, my wife and I, in unison, said we’ve eaten there for the last time. Pulcinella used to be a delightful restaurant. The food was superb. The cooks were brought over from Naples. The room had buzz and pizazz. Now the food is embarrassingly bad. For example, an appetizer of prosciutto and melon arrived... More
If you want a cozy, unique, relaxing sitdown environment for good food, this is a great spot for dinner. I compare it to Grappa in Watertown, although this is less pasta centric, with more classic meat and fish dishes.
I make it a point of stopping here each time that I travel through Boston. The food is always excellent, the service very attentive. Quiet little restaurant that makes you feel like you are in a little trattoria in some small village in Italy ( where I have spent quite a bit of time ). I have only been here... More
We have eaten at Pulcinella three times and each time we had excellent meals. This is a small neighborhood place (a fifteen minute walk from Harvard Square) - very lively, but the noise level is fine for conversation. The service is excellent and the dishes are freshly made. There is an open kitchen, so you can see the food being... More
YOu will feel well cared for and appreciated at this family-run, neighborhood restaurant with a summer patio. Good food and attentive staff who really care about their diners. We go there a lot and are never disappointed (except if we can't get a table--it is small or the noise from other tables is too loud)!
College brought us to Cambridge over 5 years ago and we're back with same son in grad school for 2 more years--Hooray!! I loved the food, service and atmosphere back then and I was just as thrilled last week. Giovanni was charming and recommended a fabulous dessert, though I was hoping for the memorable panna cotta. The branzino Mediterranean whole... More
This restaurant is fantastic! The menu is great, tripe was very good and the carbonara was the best I ever had!!!! The hosts are warm and friendly. I love that you can see through to the kitchen. It's very small and charming inside. I only wish I lived closer!
