While leaf peeping in Vermont went to Bentley's Cafe for dinner on Saturday night. It was very crowded but we only waited for 10-15 minutes for a table. Our server was very busy and waiting on numerous other tables but quickly took our order and returned frequently to check on us. The menu is pretty extensive but we decided on... more

That's right folks Parlor! Bently's used to be a Funeral Parlor. There is an area in the ceiling that used to be an open space to hoist up the coffins! The glass viewing area is on the 2nd floor. The hanging lamps in the main dinning hall by the windows and others appear to be the original Parlor lamps. The... more

Our group feel so strongly about this evening that I wrote this review as soon as we got back to our accommodation.... this is how dissatisfied we felt about this place. The restaurant had a good atmosphere when we first entered and the hostess who greeted us was very pleasant. But. from then on, it all went downhill thanks to... more

We had a 3-day stay in Woodstock last month. We went to Bentley's the first night for dinner and enjoyed it so much we went back again the next night. We even considered it for our 3rd night but decided we ought to sample another restaurant in Woodstock. Their menu is diverse enough that you could have an entree or... more

Bentley's has a great location and an eclectic dining room with fun nooks and different furnishings. We went for brunch on Sunday. It was not packed - we were seated right away. But for some reason, it took a long time for anyone on the waitstaff to acknowledge us. The waitress finally arrived, with no apology or explanation, and quickly... more

This restaurant doesn't have to try as hard as others, due to its excellent placement dead center of this adorable tourist town. Consequently, Bentley's has gone down hill the past few years, especially since they took over the ice cream shop that used to sit on the northern end of the space. The sandwiches and salads are the best bet.... more

Last week we had dinner on a Tuesday during the off-season. As soon as we entered the server and bartender made us feel very welcome. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful it was such a pleasure to dine there. She did not rush us at all even though the dining room was occupied with only one more table of... more

A good spot to drop by for a quick lunch or dinner consisting primarily of well-prepared pub fare, local brews, and wine. A casual (and far less expensive) alternative to the nearby Woodstock Inn, this is a terrific dining option and right in the middle of Woodstock and the shops and galleries that reside there. more

We went to Bentleys at about 8pm for dinner. The hostess looked at her watch about 3 times before what seemed like reluctantly seating us. The server seemed put out to take our order. The food was good but $40 for nachos, a salad, and one beer was a little much. I think we will skip next time. more
