Bathroom was disgusting, smelly, urinal broken, faucet broken. Front door is left open, so there are flies in the dining area and kitchen I assume.Chicken seemed weathered as if it was left out? No shredded beef, only ground beef, and it was very dry? Sopapillas (sp?) were fried in old grease, as they smelled funny. Lemonaide wasn't fresh squeezed. The... more

This is a very good cafe located behind the San Felipe de Neri church in the Old Town area of Albuquerque. The house is said to be one of the oldest in Albuquerque and is made of adobe bricks. The back courtyard is a great place to enjoy a meal and have a glass of wine. The service is good... more

Last week my husband and I stopped in The Church Street Cafe for a late lunch per suggestions from folks on the Trip Advisor Forums. I am glad we did. The service was quick and attentive. We ate inside, as we had spent the morning hiking at the Petroglyph Monument and were happy for the shade and fan. The food... more

On the recommendation of a local shop owner we went to Church Street Cafe for lunch. Excellent meal, good service, and who can resist fried dough with honey to end your meal! As Cartman would say....SOPAPILLAS SOPAPILLAS! more

This is the OLDEST building in ABQ. Ttis is also the BEST and most authentic New Mexican style food in either Santa Fe or ABQ. Anything else is a phony. How do I know? I am a New Mexico local and live in NM. The owner Marie is a Neww Mexico native from a very old family that goes back... more

We asked several shopkeepers for the best place to get a sandwich for a late lunch. "Everyone" we talked to recommended the Church Street Cafe, also known as "Casa de Ruiz". In an ancient adobe building, it is authentic old Albuquerque. We had bowls of soup with sandwich and beer. Everything was excellent and the place was bustling-busy. The next... more

The food here was good but not memorable, but if you go for dinner and the weather is nice, ask to be seated outside. It's a tranquil little garden area that's quiet and a little romantic once the sun sets. In the fall, they bring out these big heaters to help keep off the evening chill. more

What a great dining experience! When we first walked in, we thought it might be a little more upscale than we were dressed for, but once we got inside we were welcomed right in, and saw folks wearing all varieties of clothing having a good time. We had impeccable service from start to finish -- friendly, attentive, helpful. I had... more

My wife and I ate here during a mid-January visit to Albuquerque. We found the restaurant very welcoming on a cold NM night. We were able to walk there from our near Old Town motel. We were seated immediately and did not experience any service issues cited in previous reviews, In fact service was notably efficient and professional, above average.... more

Church Street Cafe is located in a very charming area in old-town Albuquerque. I absolutely loved the ambiance, so relaxed and comfortable, yet classy. We (my husband and myself) were expecting it to be expensive due to the location/ambiance but the menu's revealed a pleasant surprise. Reasonably priced items on the menu, and delicious chips & spicy salsa (I'm from... more
