Good funky atmosphere, but way too loud to be romantic. Food was very average considering the price. And Its not an Italian restaurant as the Cuisine title on Trip Advisor indicates... American fusion would be what I'd call it. more

While traveling with co-workers, we ended up at North after we spotted the heavenly outside seating. Our server, Michelle, was wonderful. Very friendly and always with a smile. Sitting outside in the plush cushions of the couches, watching the sun set, and sipping a Tartini...it doesn't get any better than that. We order one of the amazing pizzas, and we... more

We celebrated our son's birthday at this restaurant this evening and it was a wonderful evening all around. We were given requested seating at the curving window wall that makes up the south face of the restaurant. It is a somewhat loud environment for sure, but the window seating seemed to afford us more privacy than others may have enjoyed.... more

Interesting palette. Food is more "modern" in an urban New York studio setting, but not too appetizing. In all my years at restaraunts, I have never had a problem stomaching food. I managed to get an appetizer that forced my date and me to head home due to a severely upset stomach. Bad cheese? Vinegar, perhaps? Overall, very chiq setting... more

The food wasn't very good, especially for the price. The sauce was bland. Good atmosphere more

We were driving around Tucson and saw this restaurant from the road. From start to finish, we were blown away. Dinner for the two of us ended up taking 4 hours because we were having such a good time. We started with the antipasti, which changes every night. It was fantastic. Very simple, fresh and delightful italian anitpasti. I had... more

We stopped at North during Gem show '07 and it came to us highly recommended. We were greeted and seated graciously. The problem was with the servers. Our server started off poorly, suggesting free sample of wine and never brought it. When we asked her she replied "well, you have to buy a drink first." Off to a great start...then,... more

A pile of lettuce on top of thin pizza crust, with a smear of tomato sauce, a few shaved pieces of asiago cheese and a couple scattered onions = impossible to eat and not that good. My "pizza" was really a salad (and a poorly embellished one, at that) on bread. My fiance's meal was mediocre. Spend your hard-earned cash... more

We went to Tucson for some motorcycle day trips and I was surprised to find that Tucson cuisine has come a long way, and there is no better example than North, in the foothill area. North gets its name from the food, which is based upon cooking of Northern Italy. Many of the menu items take advantage of the local... more
