Augies is great Bar-B-Que close to downtown, my favorite in San Antonio, but not the best ever. I especially like their pulled pork (hard to find in Texas joints) and beef ribs. Creamed corn is unique with masa in it. In the cooler weather the outdoor seating in the back is a great place for a beer. more

This is TripAdvisor at its best. Based on the reviews given here, we decided to leave the Riverwalk area and try Augie's for an 'authentic' barbecue meal. The outside is unassuming, as described, you could easily pass by this place... the service line is quick and polite and, again, unassuming... it's when they bring out the meat when you realize...wow...... more
