Fyi- a big FOR RENT sign is up. Hopefully something new will be there soon. They have a great patio. Gimme was not that good when we went last year donor surprised it didn't survive.
Enjoyed the food and receiving a warm welcome from Max to whom we provided direct feedback about our experience. We did not object to the prices focusing instead on the culinary experience. The food was delicious and the kitchen accommodated our special requests (hold the red meat). We found the service inattentive and unfriendly, a disappointment. We'll keep an eye... More
The setting and location was fine. The concept and food presentation was innovative. I just wished that their kitchen was more efficient in handling the volume of diners that the size of their dining room can accomodate. There were ten of us in a group that went for dinner on a quiet Sunday evening. I think there were only two... More
Owner attentive and trying very hard. But food quality variable. with 4 of us eating, only 2 happy: lamb and pasta a hit, chicken dry and sauce too salty, duck poor. Starter salads way too small for $10 prices. Service unprofessional -- those sitting where kitchen could be seen noticed cook calling "order up" multiple times before waitress retrieved food,... More
The good news is that Tomme has an outdoor patio and the location is walkable from the heart of Santa Fe. The interior is likewise nice. However, if you think that paying $28 for two scallops drowning in butter is acceptable, then this is your place. I found Tomme to be a place that cooks with relatively unexciting and cheap... More
At the time of my visit,Tomme was only a couple of months old. A staff member at the local bike shop where I rented a bike knew the owner, who had been renowned in Taos for having one its best restaurants before moving his family down to Santa Fe. If my experience at Tomme is any indication, he will soon... More
Tomme is centrally located in a stand-alone building. We visited on a Thursday evening and were surprised that the restaurant was not full- only three tables were occupied, ours included. The food is great: very good amuses, the leek tart as a starter was a winner, and the entrees were succulent: milk braised rabbit for me - on a delicious... More
Max is worth the visit. Food was varied and tasty. Spartan and loud when packed. Tables crowded into small space. Dinner for two was $122. Not overwhelmed.
Having had two delicious dinners at Tomme, we decided to have my birthday party there, in spite of the somewhat spartan decor. We invited three couples and had a wonderful dinner. Cassoulet, lamb medallions, chicken mole all great. Also delicious desserts. Service was very good. We continue to recommend Tomme.
It is restaurant week in Santa fe, New Mexico, we started our week with Tomme's. Max the owner meet us, shortly bring out a delicious tarter with avocado and caviar, delish. All of the remaining courses were very good, dancing taste buds. the bread which comes from a 101 year old source, yummy. Great atmosphere, service and music. I will... More
