A fine restaurant. Food and service were very good, even on a night when it was completely full. Outstanding deserts. Limited wine list. The only problem was parking, they have almost none. more

This is Southern hospitality in a historic setting. It is simultaneously grand and homey. The food is simply delicious. Juiciest burger and most tender filet mignon. You have a menu unlike the typical Southern fare of fried everything. The ingredients are always fresh and expertly combined to make some unique meals. You must save room for dessert. Fantastic. more

The Innkeepr where I was staying suggested this restaurant. It is so beautiful with antiques and the room overlooks gardens outside. They also offer a free house tour-- definitely worth it. I had a chicken salad with raisins and other fruit-- very good. The wait staff were excellent. The iced tea was strong. Such a nice atmosphere. I taste of... more

The wife and I had dinner at the Anchuca Mansion. I had the bourbon grilled salmon and my wife had the shrimp creole. Both of our dinners were excellent. My wife's creole was unique because the bowl of creole was lined with cheese grits before being filled with the shrimp creole. This was a first for her and she throughly... more

Anchuca is gorgeous. The setting is beautiful and the staff friendly and attentive. If the staff dressed in black and white instead of a red casino ball shirt like our server, though, they could probably raise their prices. The food was absolutely delicious. An entree could easily be split between diners and leave everyone full. more

It was my pleasure to dine at Cafe Anchuca inside Anchuca Mansion and Inn last week. I have eaten there several times now and have never been disappointed. I live in Jackson which is about an hour away, but the experience is well worth the drive. The food and desserts are wonderful -- hard to match in Jackson or Vicksburg.... more
