Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I have been to Kingham's several times previously. On this visit we were with our son and partner, their first visit. We all thought the experience was excellent. They liked particularly the four smaller courses, and thought the choice was outstanding. Service...was excellent, never obtrusive. One thing we always like about Kingham's is the soft furnishings: curtains, carpets, tablecloths etc, and lack of openness, all of which creates a nice harmonious dining atmosphere.More

Friendly, helpful staff: high quality and interesting food - a thoroughly enjoyable evening - would definitely go there again if we are in the area.

6 of us. This restaurant is family run. It's quaint inside with beautiful decor. But what sets this restaurant aside. The food!! It's truly amazing. One guest said he always chooses something he wouldn't normally cook himself at home. I suggest no one can get...the taste and balance right on their dishes, as well as the chef here. There is a 4 course menu. We can choose as little or as much as you would like. Dont be fooled by the portion size being small. These plates ounch a taste like no other. I am known to be a fussy eater. I found no faukt with the dishes. In fact, not one of our group had anything bad to say. I will most definitely go back there. Highly recommend. Wish there were more stars.More

Found the venue on a review site. Booked a table, must admit it was 75 minutes drive away, but oh so worth it! Small bread "loaf" cut into four for us. Crumbly and delicious. We deliberately chose different dishes for each of the four courses...to try as many dishes as possible. Each course was beautifully presented and delicious. Highlights are hard to identify, though I never thought I would have a liver parfait as good as Hestons, I was wrong. Special mention for the mock cocktails but my goodness the roast potatoes were quite exceptional too. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Very clean toilet. Met chef at the end of the meal, what a delightful passionate chef. Well worth the trip for some frankly quite exceptional food.More

We enjoyed an excellent meal and fine wines in a festive and convivial atmosphere on Saturday evening. The scallops, beef wellingtons and partridge were delicious and the service exemplary. I am looking forward to a return visit.

Been to Kinghams many times and always been happy with the experience. Tonight was a special occasion :- our wedding anniversary. We had notified them in advance including my wife calling at lunchtime to confirm it was a special occasion. We had previously received an...email offering complimentary glasses of "bubbly" but when we got there they even asked my wife to present the email to them. This was how the service went all night - very cold. Needless to say the bubbly was prosecco. The meal proportions were very small even for fine dining. I complained about the size of my starter (2 tiny fish pieces each about an inch square and equal size artichoke/dressing). A caring restaurant would have offered some more but all I got was "this is to be expected in a 4 course meal". Maybe but not at £10. We won't be returning.More

I wasn’t impressed with the food. The standards where much higher and it looks like the portions are getting smaller every time we go.

I wanted a special place to celebrate my 80th birthday with my 3 sisters and their husbands. Kinghams could not have been a better choice. The food, service and room were all superb and the cost was surprisingly reasonable. 10 out of 10.

One must start by saying what a beautiful 'oldy worldy' place this is. Deep in the heart of Surrey, what a tranquil village. There was no trouble with parking. I was with friends celebrating their 50th birthdays (three years ago, due to Covid!). The staff...even went to the trouble of bringing out a chocolate piped place with a candle - such a lovely thought. Each course had been well thought out. Despite the portions being very small, one left feeling very full and satisfied. I was even served scallops without the truffle butter, thank goodness! I can recommend the elderflower mocktail (due to driving)! I never choose an apple dessert, but this one was purely delicious with the calvados sauce. There was nothing I could fault, from the staff to the food. The pace of service was spot on with enough time to digest before the next course. Thank you for a really lovely evening and can't wait to return. We all enjoyed our evening very much. I can thoroughly recommend.More

Based on reviews we had high hopes for our evening meal but were left disappointed. I struggled to find something to choose but settled on the risotto and cod. None of us could find a pudding that we fancied which was a let down. It...wasn't a special occasion but, if it had been, our table next to the noisy bar fridge wasn't ideal. The chef obviously goes to a lot of trouble to invent the dishes but unfortunately the risotto was too rich, the cod was tasteless and we didn't even like the side dishes of potatoes and broccoli.More

We visited on their wine history special set menu night. It was great. The sommelier is a terrific raconteur with a lovely way of spinning a tale and in this case making history come really alive. The food was pretty much perfect and It was...a wine-pairing event and we thought all except one were a very good match. Some were very unusual and a lovely tasting experience. We hope to be back when they do it again.More

Lovely setting, delightful staff, well thought out special event called Kingham’s mythological wine evening. We thoroughly enjoyed each introduction to each of 6 wines and they were delicious and different. The 6 course meal was superbly thought out and delightfully executed- not too much or...too little. All very different and interesting- Thankyou, we had lovely time.More

This isn't the company's website - this is tripadvisor. Call them up or go on their website and write an email. I am sure that they should be able to arrange something like though.
