By far one of the best restaurants in skala, on my first visit I enjoyed a delicious Kefalonian meat pie, bettered only by that served at the Symposium. We have been to Skala twice now, and are going again in 2009. The Flamingo is without a doubt one of the two best restaurants in Skala, the other being The Pines. Just come back from 14 days on this Island. This is the place to eat - trust me we tried numerious restaurants and snack bars. For the best red wine ever, try their Monte Nero Caliga. The courgette corquettes for a starter are out of this world. As a main - the stifado is terrific as are all their veggie... more

Grim is a little strong for this place. Never ate an evening meal here as there seemed to be plenty more inspiring choices, but breakfasts were fine. The house wine is turnip water, however. Buy a Robola instead. more
