Prices were very reasonable, definitely cheaper than Starbucks. The shop was cozy and it was a nice place for coffee and pastries.
ordered dessert coffee and adobo pandesal, first the dessert coffee is bland, i would understand if they inform me that they dont have sugar syrup or granulated sugar, or if i ordered sugar-free literally hehe. You would just love how cozy and comfortable the coffee shop is where you'd definitely feel at home. Always been a hangout place for me whenever I and my friends are in Tacloban.
When I visit Tacloban City, I make sure I drop by Jose Karlos Coffee main branch, the one on Juan Luna St. I love the feel of the place, it is so homey and relaxing, I could just sit there all day, just enjoying their seafood linguine pasta and a cup of cappuccino or french vanilla. I ordered coffee Americano. Well blended and strong the way I liked it. My companion ordered iced cappuccino. We were there before the lunch crowd, the place was half empty. Their wifi is strong, you just need to ask the cashier for the password. Great place to hang out before lunch.
If you want to relax and enjoy your coffee with biscotti, etc this is the place to be-atmosphere better than Starbucks.
If you want to lix with the elite of the town, this is indeed the place to be. However, food is overrated and prices are not consistent to national standards.
