"But the food at Zaffron is good and very good value. Their 4 course Mon – Thur Special menus at £9.95 are well worth it even if we never get round to the 4th tea/coffee course. We find that the Popadoms/ Chutney tray, Bargis/Samosas and mains fill us up pretty well first.
For us, the menu is rest..."ricted to fish or vegetarian, as this Indian Restaurant is owned by Bangladeshis who only serve Halal meats and we are unhappy with this slaughter method. It would be better if this was stated on the menu. Doesn’t stop us enjoying the meals that we can eat.

"A relatively new Italian Restaurant/Pizzaria, That’s Amore provides a little more than just pasta and pizza – although the majority of the menu covers those items. Pizzas range in price from £7.25 to £9.25, pastas £7.95 to £9.25 but the fish, meat and specials range from £12 up to £17. Starters ra..."nge from £6 to £7). "Walked through the door and was greeted by a very friendly waiter who gave us a choice of tables. Service was quick and friendly and the starter (nachos) was lovely. Had a genuine fresh mexican taste and the chilli beef, salsa and guacamole was clearly home made. Then had the quesadillas which were ..."plentiful and delicious, and came with salsa and sour cream. Couldn't fault the food at all, it was all prepared and presented to a high standard and we both really enjoyed it. Genuinely cannot understand some of the poor reviews, the service was great and the place was packed. Everyone seemed happy with the food and service, even if the manager was a little over involved and pressurised his staff unnecessarily at times. Overall, a really pleasant experience.
