Found flights more than $300 cheaper and slightly less flying time on Korean compared to Cathay Pacific. Found positive reviews on both on skytrax.com. Is it worth the savings to fly Korean from New York to Singapore or is Cathay worth paying the difference. I'll gladly pay the difference for better leg room/comfort.

If you are flying back of plane, I don't think there will be much difference.

I'm sure you probably checked, but just in case - Singapore Airlines is the best. I've heard amazing things about Cathay but havent flown them. Thai is excellent even in the back of the plane - but they just eliminated the 17 hour non-stop JFK to Bangkok (that could have gotten you within 2 hour flight from Singapore)

Flyertalk.com is a great place to search for info comparing these long haul flights. I think there's another one too that you can check by route - flightreviews or something like that.

You should also be considering Asiana (Korean's 5* competetion) - service and food a notch up from Korean's with similar low fares. I paid 844./923. (March '09) for SEA-BKK on Priceline. Both Korean and Asiana use Seoul as the transit point.
