Hi

Just received an upgrade offer for premium flat bed seat on an Air Asia flight in September next year Syd to Kl, can someone please tell me if it is reliable (optiontown)?

is it worth the extra expense ($144 each seat) 2 seats booked for an eight hour flight ,

or are normal seats fine ?

your advice will be greatly appreciated

Thank you.

Optiontown is legit. You will only be upgraded if the seat is not booked and if you are first in the queue. You will be notified closer to the date of your flight. If unsuccessful payment will be refunded quickly. I have been both successful and unsuccessful in being upgraded to a flatbed.

For more information there are plenty of prior threads on optiotown.

From our experience with Optiontown, it is legit. We have only ever used the xtra seats option and its fantastic. If I am unable to book the row 44 sets of 2 seats on either side of the plane(the most legroom on the plane for a standard seat)then I choose to purchase the xtra seats option form Option town.

Do it. You will enjoy the seat immensely and will enhance your holiday.

The only downside is once you have tried the premium seat you cannot bear to go back to regular seat.

G' day Ruba A, hope for the best..well there are only 12 of these premium flatbed.

Yep, as @maic put it correctly. No turning back on next flight.

That's how airlines also "select" passengers and upgrade them, and hoping for this potential.

Currently waiting for upgrade on our Dec 20 flight, so far have been upgraded 3 out of 4 times...if not have also paid for extra seats...Each time I have only been notified of the upgrade a matter of hours before. Optiontown are very reliable in refunding your money if you don't get the upgrade....

G'day Ruba, only web check in once you receive Optiontown upgrade decision. Optiontown endeavour to email you the upgrade decision four(4) hours before the scheduled flight departure.

As such make sure when you book for the UTo, Optiontown send a confirmation email, that email does not get delivered to your spam folder.

Few days before departure date, you can also go into Optiontown website, log in with your username and password, together with the booking (UTo) reference number to check on upgrading status.
