I am a frequent visitor to orlando last year i paid £499 for a flight I am going again in March next year and paid £437

I am looking to go again in October next year but the flights seem very expensive ie between £850-£1000 at the moment

Why is this ?

Those Oct flights have just been released. I would check those (and sign up for fare alerts from all airlines that you are considering), and expect things to change a bit, about 6-8 mos. from the travel date.

However, as mentioned, if it's say a school break in the UK, prices might not fall.

Good luck,

Several people have mentioned this.

Maybe it is too early to book or your dates coincide with school holidays.

SS,

That does sound like a possible factor.

Sometimes, one does have to look deeply for why some rates seem high - like a big convention in Las Vegas (room rates), and the same for San Francisco. School breaks can jack up prices, as well, or at least allow an airline to keep them high, with no extra discounts.

Heck, were I not retired, I would structure almost any business model to Supply and Demand...

Thanks for that info,

^^^^

Perhaps the air fares are better, going to Tripoli, or Benghazi?

Likely cheaper, any time of the year.

Or Damascus or Baghdad, much more exciting than a theme park, just as warm and cheaper. What's not to like?

We were a little more cautious and are currently in Vietnam. Just wonderful and so glad we came in the winter when the temperature drops to a cool 28c and the locals rush around in winter coats

quakered, you are naughty! But funny too!

Anyway, back to the OP. I think it;s too early to book for next October, but there's no guarantee that prices will be similar to what has been paid previously.
