only 40 hours until i am in mazatlan!!!!!!!!!!I figure in about 48 hours i would have already had a few beers, a few margaritas, couple shots of fire water, a phat steak, and just be recovering from my food coma in time to go out to gus y gus or somewhere like that...

couple last minute ?'s about the costa de oro...

1- what time is happy hour?

2- what kind of prices should i expect at adobes (steak, lobster...)

3- should i pay $20 a night for the room upgrade ahead of arrival or should i just try to "grease" the reception? and how much??

thanks to all for the help on info about: spas to restraunts to bars to blah, blah, blah...i cant freakn wait!!!!!!

Calm down and go to sleep! :-) (I don't blame you)

1- I THINK 4 to 6 p.m.

2- Sorry, I don't know.

3- Do it after you arrive.

Yell "Hi!" if you see an old Ford.

2. Wife and I had beef, she a good filet and me a good t-bone, our son a chicken dinner (large serving), we had four beers (Corona of course) a Sprite for the kiddo, for a grand total of around $600 pesos including a good tip. The filet was $120, t-bone $100, chicken $80 I think. Banana splits (for them) were $45 pesos, included, and reportedly very good. Geat service, too, not terribly busy. That was in early April.

whats the scoop on the oro's timeshare presentation?? worth the time or not?? are they extra pushy??

after reading a few timeshare presentation reports, i dont want to pass up free schwag. but, i dont want to ruin my girls day by putting her through some hectic presentation. (and we all know to avoid pissing off the woman, because that will ruin ANY vacation!!!)

any reccomendations??

Happy hour is 1pm-2pm: hook up with Lucy or "G", both are wait staff by the pool, and they will take such good care of you all week...you'll think you are Norm from Cheers after a day or two!

Prices at Adobes are comparable to what you will find at most Hotel restaurants($80-$180 pesos per entre) but the tables over looking the water are fabulous...fantastic sunset! What I love most is the chef is so versitile, if you want something not on the menu, he can probably create something you like. Ask for Fransisco if you need anything!

I would definatly upgrade to the one bedroom suite if you have the opportunity...nothing like sitting on your balcony overlooking the pool/ocean with a cup of coffee (or a Bloody Mary)in the morning!

Have a great time!!!I wish I was going back...only 6 more months for me!

I also recommend the shrimp omelet with fresh salsa! Yum! You can order it for lunch, even though it is not on the lunch menu.
