I haven't driven it, but I'm TOLD that the construction is now complete and all sections of the new road are open. Maybe someone else who has either bused it or driven it can answer more exactly.

I drove it last month and there were a few miles of detour along side the auto pista, but the rest is finished. I could not figure out why the detour as the autopista looked fine. It cost over $30 US for tolls from Tepic to Mazatlan, which we thought was excessive for such a short strip.

We drove both ways in December.

The road was finished without detours, but the trip from PBEB to the Autopista entrance South of Mzt. took almost an hour.

Tolls from here were $901, pesos each way.

The toll costs are based on the construction costs. The newer the road, the higher the cost. Wait until you see the cost of the road from Mexico DF - If it ever gets finished.
