Hep A, Hep B, and our tetanus booster.
just remember that you can still get montezuma's revenge
even with them.
???
Of course you still can.
Hep A&B vacinations are to prevent hepatitis, it does nothing for gastroenteritis or traveler's diarrhea.
Yeah, I got my hep A.
We got all our others through the public school system throughout the years.
But you need a hep A now, and then one more in 6 months to ensure it sticks.
We have had to get Hep A and Typhoid. It's not that bad as its a two in one shot.
I did not know that you needed shots for Mexico. Do you need them before you go to Mexico or is this just a prevenative measure?
Also what if any shots do you need in total to go?
Ray.
hey ray,
Was just told by my doctor that it's just precautionary to get them. It just means that you're insurance will cover this as you will have shown that you have taken precautions. But I think even if you dont get them you'll be alright as cancun is a tourist destination, think it's mainly for the the mexican 'jungle' areas. I dont know if the requirements are the same for the US but I just did as my doctor said.

Hey Ray, better be safe than sorry, Hep A is contracted through simple things such as ice or water. even if you think your being careful you may end up with ice in your drink and bam! you have hep a!
Better to have a shot! Especially if you ever plan on going to Cuba, Dominican, ect..

Check out the CDC site for the most accurate info on current recommendations:
They were saying on the CDC site that you should not mess with the mokeys. I was really looking forward to that on the Jeep Adventure. I read somewhere that you buy food at the entrance and the mokeys will come and sit on your shoulder and you can feed the little guys. Now I will have to think twice. I hate shots that is my biggest problem here. I know 6'6" and affraid of a little needle. You might say you wuss I will say Yes I am. :D
