Hi Guys,

Me and the girlfriend are looking to go to cancun in august of this year and we are looking to stay in the sun palace or the riu palace either one first of all can anyone that has stayed here before tell us how it is and secondly would you be able to tell me if theres any big differences between going the last week in august first week in september or going two weeks in august other than and overall 500 euro difference :) thanks guys

Yes, it's hurricane season that's true, but no there's not a big difference between Aug and Sep weather wise. I'd book the cheaper rate for sure. I've travelled to Cancun in Aug., Sep., and Oct., and have never had a rainy vacation, let alone a hurricane, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. I'd recommend trip insurance for sure. Hope that helps!

I have traveled to Cancun in August every year for the past ten. 1st things first: It is Mucho CALIENTE. AND HUMID. Second thing: we have seen very little ( if any ) rain/tropical storms in that time span. Call it luck or whatever, you must get used to the heat and humidity in August. Good luck!
