I have been told that it's great there for shopping a worth a look over from pdc, thoughts?
I would, i loved Coz when i visited for the day. Although i didnt go shopping i just enjoyed the beach and the bars etc
Great will check it out then, maybe today while it's cold and rainy, thanks for the replies
Honestly- it's not so great for shopping PDC is much better .
But- you have to find out for yourself kid.
it's another place to tell your pals you've been to though .
Edited: 12 years agoI understand all the shops are closed in Cozumel on a Sunday.
shopping seemed the same for me as 5th ave in PDC. for something different in 2009 we rode scooters on the isolated/non touristy part of the island and it was so peaceful and heavenly, then when we were in PDC 2 weeks ago we decided to check out the scuba/snorkling and it was amazing! good luck with your plans and have fun!!!
Shops are not closed on sundays, it is true that most locals have the day off on sunday but the tourist area is open, in fact on sunday evening they have a big fiesta on the town square.
The beaches are a little more crowded because the locals are all enjoying time with their families.. SajoUK...In my opinion the shopping is pretty much the same as in Playa, but go over rent a car or hire a driver for the day and take a tour to the "other" side of the island...lots of little beach clubs and things to do..no electricity on that side of the island so no big development, unspoiled beaches...Have fun!
Another soon to be Cozaholic
Soo agree Uncledaryl!..We split our time between both locations, and love them equally..and may I add hi neighbor!
Now I am curious....what is considered cold in Cozumel ( in June ) ? Also, any nice places in Coz near where the ferry leaves off ( walking distance ) ?
