If you're staying at ASP then the trip to Tulum/Xpu-Ha is included. Is there are reason you'd want to go by yourself? There are plenty of cabs, or you can rent a car which is only around $40/24hr. Just remember you need pesos to get into the Ruins.

No, i didnt mean to the tulum ruins, im talking about the beach. I want to know how to get to the beaches in the area (i heard that the one in tulum is one of the nicer ones). I dont want to have to be bound by catching a bus at a certain time. I am on vacation, I dont want to be told what time I have to leave a certain place!!

About a 10 minute taxi ride, $7.00. Taxis are always available at lobby doors.

It is called Club Tulum (for now) and Palace recently purchased the property. Palace Resort guests are allowed to use it for free (beach, pool, restaurants) The beach is beautiful. Palace will be renovating the hotel soon, to make it more like the other Palace properties (ex. double jacuzzis etc.).

No problem getting a cab back either.

If you want GREAT snorkeling and a pretty beach, try Akumal (Playa Akumal) No problem with cabs coming or going and you can dine at a pretty good restaraunt on the beach called Lol Ha.

We did enjoy Club Tulum's beach though the snorkeling is truely mediocre! A great beach for a long walk though and you can eat/drink...at Club Tulum.

Enjoy!!!
