As family of three ( 2 adults 1 child 10 years old) we have just returned from Eurocamp in lake garda.
On the good side, directions to get there were excellent, rep very upbeat and helpful despite initial torrential rain, view points from the site are spectacular with dedicated sunset benches. The tent we stayed in was dry and proper bed both a surprise and not uncomfortable.Fridge worked to accomodate the food bought from the functional shop on site.Access to loos / shower block was convenient and hot showers were available whenever needed; after the time spent in upper of two swimming pool areas. Pleasantly surprised at safe tiling around pool so kids weren't falling over.Road access to nearby lovely town of Salo was 5min by car. Access to fantastic fun driving roads and hillside town villages above west side lake Garda was great. Unexpected bonus of access to two beautiful famous gardens 5 miles away.
Things that were not so appealing:I was not aware that the eurocamp site is part of large 298 plots of caravans and tents shared with several other companies. The site was therefore crowded and this aspect alone would put me off visiting this particular site again. The day we arrived the tent we were supposed to be in had had a leak noted before we arrived and we were allocated to caravan , a blessing in being dry but it also had odour of being well used.On our morning of departure we were due to drive off at 4am only to find a locked gate blocking exit. Although a notice indicated it would be locked 2300-0700hr, we were under mistaken impression this would open with our swipe card. There is need to enable people to leave at unusual times (to get back to airports for flights).
