My wife and I are planning early for a trip to Ireland next June(2008). We really aren't interested in Northern Ireland, and would like to focus more on the Southern and Western parts.
Dublin is of course a must, and from what little info. I have read so far (just started Rick Steve's book) Dingle, the Cliffs of Moher are not to be missed either. I would also like to stop in Kilkenny, Waterford and Galway if possible.
We have 13 days for the trip, and my wife would like to spend a few days in London as well.(Is this feasible with our time constraints?)
We don't need to stay in expensive hotels, and are leaning toward moderate and nicer B&B's throughout the trip. We will be renting a car and the driving may be a bit of a challenge, but I'm not too worried.
Any suggestions on what cities/stops are MUST SEE, and what places are similar, and hence we would be able to see 1 instead of wasting time with a similar stop. (Eg. I hear Dingle and Ring of Kerry are similar, with Dingle being a more charming choice.)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Grease
