If you want to stay in a small town or a farm then Lisieux might not be what you're looking for as it is a larger town so wouldn't have the country/village feel you're looking for. I've never been to Cambremer but I believe it is a pleasant little village. If you're not concerned about having several stores/shops in the village then just about any village in that region would be fine. Perhaps Beaumont-en-Auge, Beuvron-en-Auge or Crèvecouer-en-Auge could be added to your list, or even Blangy-le-Château. If you want a village feel but also want a few stores and services then Pont-l'Evêque or Cormeilles would work. But if you found something you like in Cambremer then that is fine.
