In February it is spring time in Algarve – 7 -8 minimum 18-21 maximum per day. Almond trees are flowering and the air and sea are perfumed. In Algarve sunny days are constant although you might find cloudy mornings and nights . Bars and restaurants are opened, specially in Carnival time (12-15) – in the major resorts.

Hi Kath

Have been in Albuferia from mid Dec to mid Jan for the past few years. Weather is generally very nice, 18 -19 degrees and sunny during the day but a bit on the cool side at night. You can get some rain at times and the odd storm but generally it is nice. The locals, and indeed the ex pats, do not go into the pool at this time of year but I found it ok as the weather is something like a goog summer's day at home. A lot of the bars are closed but there are plenty that open all year round such as Albertos on the strip and the Yorkshire in a square off the main road just up from the strip. The Yorkshire is great for food and a lot of the bars have a happy hour until 10pm with a pint of Lager €1 and local spirit and mixer €2. While the area is quiet in the winter months there are still a lot of people around and a lot of ex pats come out to play during the winter months as they are generally not working.
