I am looking at hiring a car from Luz and just wanted to check with the experts - does the internet prices include all insurance and excess fees please?
yes they do but check on tyres glass and locks as sometimes these arent, I have in the past used them many times collecting from airport, you get your car and are away while others are still waiting for paperwork or having to go to an off site office
I have booked with Luz cars for September but have taken additional excess liability separately.
I have always done this no matter which car hire company I use.
I always just do a search via http://www.auto-europe.co.uk/
Normally comes up with a good deal.
Enjoy Lagos - its my favourite place.
Thanks everyone. This will be our 3rd trip to Lagos and love the place!
Luz Cars are excellent. We used them last year and they dropped the car off at our villa in Luz. Paid cash when they dropped the car off and there were no hidden extras. I would highly recommend them. One thing about paying in cash is that as they had no record of our credit card they couldn't take any money for "extras". Great service.
Do their cars tend to be in good condition?
They can vary a little age and condition wise but I never had mechanical problems of any sort in about a dozen hirings. The "extra" insurance is definitely a must. Take that and there's no need to be paranoid about scuffs and scratches. If you are dropping the car back at odd times you merely leave the key in the visor and walk away.
Edit: There's only a 50/50 chance of having a radio aerial tho!Edited: 19 April 2012, 15:55
We have used them for years, the prices are inclusive, no excess or fuel charges. If you check the terms on the website I think it excludes keys though.
