Check out some of the webcams!!!!
It has been reported in the news and media here in Finland as well, that this morning the first snow has covered the landscapes at places in Lapland.
According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) the snow cover was the "deepest" in Enontekiö where there was 3 cm of snow this morning. Also Kittilä has had the first snow cover. There the thickness of it was a couple of centimetres.
In general the weather is getting colder and snow blended rain might come down during the day also in more southern locations. It was snowing also in Oulu today, but none of it stayed on the ground.
According to the FMI permanent snow cover lands in Lapland usually in late October.
I am NOT going to look at the webcams as it will just make we want to go to lapland and I can't this year '-(
I'm very lucky to be going in Feb. Last went in 2008 and thought it would be a once in a life time holiday but managed to save after getting a part time job of my own so hubby cannot moan about expense!! Already getting excited!! and watching the webcams.....

we are off to France skiing again this year, whilst it's lovely there is still ain't lapland
hope you have a wonderful time and keep on looking at those webcams
I'm just about to check out those webcams, I did have a look the other day but didn't see any snow, I remember last year it started snowing in October, how exciting. I am so envious of all of you who are going this year. The last time we went was Dec 2008 we were thinking of Feb next year but it doesn't look likely now. I just love it there.
Lovely to see the snow, really excited, how sad is that!
