Hi all,
We are thinking of taking our two children to Lapland this year and wondered if anyone had used Magic of Lapland? Or if you could recommend a company to use?
Many thanks
not heard of them but they look interesting but expensive - if you are looking for this type of more exclusive holiday then compare them against activities abroad who offer the same sort of thing
Thank you for your message, will look at Activities Abroad.
I looked at doing a short break with them, but they are not running their Lapland hols this year, anticipating the recession will affect demand. Pity, they looked great. We are now going with Inghams.
Errrr, can I ask where you heard that Activities Abroad aren't doing their Lapland holidays this year due to the recession?
It's just that I work for Activities Abroad and we are definitely offering these trips and have never been busier. The only issue is with availability due to unbelievable demand.
How strange!
Sorry Houxty - I meant Magic of Lapland, not Activities Abroad. I did receive your brochure, but sadly finances would not stretch for one of your packages, so we have had to decide on what areas we could compromise on.
thanks for your reply and sorry to cause any confusion !

That's funny!
We've been absolutely inundated for months now....I thought it must all be a dream:-)
Inghams will look after you well.
I really hope so ! We just need some snow now !
Thanks for your reply.
Magic of Lapland is operating all of its chartered day and short breaks to Lapland in 2011 and to our knowledge are the only Lapland operator not to have cancelled a single day or short break.
Please do not post incorrect or misleading information that is damaging to the company without basis.
I have communicated with Magic of Lapland company to apologise if the posting was mis-leading.
I wish to reassure everyone that the company Magic of Lapland IS offering holidays to Lapland and it was one of the two companys we were hoping to travel with, but finances prevented us from doing so. Ana at Magic of Lapland has always kept me up to date with latest prices etc and sent me brochures.
The original posting referred to was Metier Travel who were offering a package that I thought was called 'Magic of Lapland', but decided not to offer this for 2011, to return in 2012. Again, this particular company was very approachable, informative, with no complaints from us.
Sorry everyone for any confusion and hope this clears everything.
