Hi, does anyone know if they accept GBP in Lapland, Finland? Really don't wanna exchange money if i don't have too...
no they wont, they are a euro country
you might be able to pay for some of the trips with your uk tour op in pounds but not sure but all the shops etc all take euros
If you have a credit card Visa/Master great, Diners/Amex good. No need to worry about the money, what you can't buy with a card, you won't be needing it.
Do they accept euros in Burnley?
That is not a serious question, surely? :-)
You really don't want to exchange money to Euros?
You could stay at home, that way you don't even have to leave the UK.
hey, this maybe their fist visit abroad so lets not judge eh and lets just help
I would be surprised, buy yep, OK :-)
In all seriousness though, I for one am pleased we have to change currency, because that means we have NOT joined the sinking Euro, which has to be a good thing, although this does mean we are at the mercy of a third party, and inflated currency when we need to travel.
No they do not accept pounds in Finland.
But almost every place accepts Visa and Master, so pay with card if you have one of thouse.
As a general rule where ever you are it is always best to use local currency or a credit card (where accepted). Even if you would find a place or a shop accepting GBP or any other foreign currency, you can be sure to get a very lousy exchange rate, you could use only bank notes and receive the change in the local currency anyhow.
I know people have mentioned using Visa credit cards but is it possible to use Visa debit cards?
Thanks
yes, I did when I was there
