Try try try to stay at a hotel that has air conditioning. We stayed at a non-air conditioned pension last July and our toddler daughter was miserable, especially when trying to sleep at night.
We found Vienna to be very kid-friendly. You will want to stay at a hotel in the city center so you can take baby back to the room for naps, snacks, etc. You will probably also want to take a break yourselves, too.
and depending on the child's sleeping habits, you might wish to get a suite; this way he can sleep while you have dinner in the room and watch TV after a long day on the go.
