I live in Huddersfield, have done since 2000 when I moved there from the South East of England. The night life was good then and has been improving ever since. Straight accross from the Uni is a whole street (Zetland Street) of bars to suit all budgets, including a Lloyds number 1. There are plenty of other pubs and clubs around the town centre, most open until the early hours on weekends. Many pubs have student specials on a Wednesday.

Hi, anywhere with a uni is going to have more than a sprinkling of pubs and clubs - students are very lucrative customers after all.

You have made a good choice coming to sunny Costa del Huddersfield,well maybe not that sunny.

I have lived and woked in Huddersfield,on and off for 39 years,including many years as a pub and nightclub doorman so I hope this info is some help.

Huddersfield nightlife as expanded greatly over the past 5 years.

It as a student quarter at the bottom end of town which is full of bars and takeaways that starts across from the uni(Zetlanland Street) and finishes aroud the Kingsgate shopping centre.

For cheep drinks head for any of the Weatherspoons,Lloyds near the shopping centre is best especially at nigths at the weekends,also try the Warehouse which is mainly full of students.

Huddersfield is pretty quite during the week but at the weekend it realy does come to life.You will find all types of bars and every possible takeaway.ENJOY
